Participate in the presidential inauguration

Eric Boynton speaking at a podium in Eaton Chapel.Beloit College will celebrate the inauguration of Eric Boynton as its 12th president in a day of festivities on Nov. 3.

It’s Inauguration Week!

Inaugurations don’t come around very often — the last one was in 2009 when we welcomed and celebrated Scott Bierman. So 14-ish classes of Beloiters didn’t even get a chance to participate. But you do.

Please join us as we celebrate the inauguration of Beloit College’s 12th president, Eric Boynton. The ceremony begins at noon Friday at Eaton Chapel. For those who cannot make it in person, a livestream will be available.

There’s a reception following at 1:30 p.m. at Sanger Center for the Sciences.

And the President’s Inaugural Bash, from 7:30-11 p.m. at the Powerhouse. Special musical guest: Mr. Pink, a band led by Associate Provost and Professor Ron Watson. Festivities there include a 360-degree photo stand, T-shirt decorating, late-night bites and beverages, and face painting and glitter tattoos.

Formal attire is recommended but not required.

The first 100 students to arrive at the Bash get a shirt with a cool design. And, win or lose following their match earlier in the day at the Midwest Conference Tournament, the women’s soccer team will be in the house. (See announcements.)

See you there!
